THE GN SPORTS LOCK RETENTION WIRE ACCESSORY AT KEYNSHAM HEARING CENTRE, BRISTOL/BATH

The GN Sports Lock Retention wire accessory at Keynsham Hearing Centre, Bristol/Bath video demonstrates how easy it is to fit a sports lock. The GN Sports Lock Retention wire is an ideal product for somebody who plays a lot of sport, hence the term Sports Lock, or for someone who does a lot of walking and of rambling etc… It is also suitable for someone who just feels that their hearing aid sits loose in the ear and they would appreciate something else to assist in retaining it.

The receiver part of the GN ReSound a Linx2 product

So what we have here is a GN ReSound LiNX square or LiNX2 product. Here is the actual speaker or receiver part.
What we are going to do is put something on that helps to retain it in the ear, so it can be a sports lock or retention lock, they all have different names.

Dome removed from GN ReSound

What we are doing is taking the dome off, the speaker, sliding the retention Lock it into place, you then put the dome back on top, so you are left with the strand poking down.

Fitting the retenion lock

When placing this in the ear, putting the speaker in the ear canal, you then lift up the strand placing that in the bottom of the ear, and that just helps to retain the receiver in the ear canal.
